Leroy Zander

Whitewater-LeRoy C. Zander, age 59 of Elkhorn, formerly of the town of Waukesha died Tuesday, December 26, 2006 in Whitewater. He was born in Waukesha on August 7, 1947 to Arthur and Marion (McCurtie) Zander. Mr. Zander graduated from Waukesha High School in 1965. He was a charter member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church. He ran the Zander Cabinet Shop for 35 years and did wonderful carpentry. LeRoy enjoyed going to auctions. He was also very proud of the sweet corn he grew on his Town of Waukesha farm. On April 21, 2005 he married the former Karen Carpenter. He is survived by his wife Karen of Elkhorn; a step-daughter Corrine Peterson of Elkhorn; step-grandchild Zachary Peterson of Waukesha and a cousin Dotty Hanson of Waterford. Other relatives and many loyal friends also survive. Visitation for LeRoy will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2006 from 4:00 P.M. until the 7:00 P.M. Funeral Service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park on Friday, December 29 at 10:00 A.M.
