Lewis Williams

March 20, 1916 — January 3, 2010

WAUKESHA—Lewis E. Williams, of Waukesha, died Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 93. He was a 1934 graduate of Waukesha High School and in the 1930’s had been a lifeguard at Buchner Pool. On September 27, 1936 he married the former Betty Schroeder in Waukesha. He had worked for many years at Waukesha Motors and then at Waukesha Foundry until his retirement in 1981. He was a charter member of Southminster Presbyterian Church and taught Sunday school for many years at First Presbyterian Church. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 73 years, Betty of Waukesha along with their children Sally (George) Winkler of LaGrange IL and Judith Williams of Waukesha. He is further survived by 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, sister Martha Rowland, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Lewis A. Williams, sister Betty and brothers Arthur and Al.
