Lillie Z. Sanchez

Lillie Z. Sanchez, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 83. She was born in Pearsall, TX on March 27, 1933 the daughter of Alfredo and Jesusa (nee Ramos) Zertuche Sr. Lillie was a professional bowler, enjoyed flowers and gardening, doing crafts and watching the Brewers. She was an accomplished cook and baker and made many tortillas and tamales in her lifetime. Lillie especially loved being with her family and will always be remembered as a loving, caring and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She will be sadly missed by her children Gilda (Dane) Augustine of TX, Diane (Juan) Hernandez of Waukesha, Susie (Don) Woodley of Dousman, Edward Sanchez of Burlington, Dennie (Mary) Sanchez of Milwaukee and Robert L. Sanchez of Chicago, her grandchildren, Ericka (Todd) Smith of Waukesha, Nina Llanas of Waukesha, Gina Medina of Waukesha, Olivia (Travis) Gilbert of Georgia, Michael Sanchez of Maryland, Nicole (Mike Stuebner) Sanchez of Milwaukee, Jessica (Matt) Plautz of Milwaukee, James Hernandez of Milwaukee, John Hernandez of Milwaukee, Sarah Sanchez of Burlington, Josh (Kayla) Sanchez of Waukesha, Lisa (Nathan) Godshaw of Wauwatosa, Chad (Leigh) Augustine of New York, Angie (Scott) Richards of Lake Mills, Donnie (Rachel Leslie) Woodley of Lake Mills and Catie Woodley of Dousman, 15 great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Jordan, Miles, Anthony, Daniel Jr., Yovanni, Jacenda, Trenton, Asa, Thomas, Jackson, Alex, Gabriel, Brooke and Gabriella and one great-great-grandchild, Tirso Jr. She is further survived by her brother Alfredo Zertuche Jr., her sisters, Carmen (Juan) Castillo, Mary (Blaine) Goocher, Gloria English and Beatrice (Henry) Gonzales, her dear friend Linda Wagner along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Baldo, infant daughter Norma Sanchez, daughters, Mary Irene Velez and Gloria J. Medina, and her loving companion Cheyo (Elisio) Ramos.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Waukesha First Assembly of God, 1314 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Pastor Todd Pope will preside. Private burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society, N19 W24350 Riverwood Drive, Waukesha, WI 53188 or to the American Diabetes Association, 375 Bishop’s Way Suite 220, Brookfield, WI 53005.
