Linda I. Hink

April 8, 1956 — November 10, 2022

Linda I. Hink, of the City of Pewaukee, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 8, 1956, in Waukesha, the daughter of Jerome and Nancy (nee: Gascoigne) Fohey. On September 22, 1973 she married the love of her life Barry Hink at Evangelical & Reformed UCC in Waukesha. People were drawn to Linda – her friendly smile, her contagious laughter, her ability to make you feel “at home”. You were always welcomed – she opened her heart and her home to everyone. She taught us many things such as loyalty to family, how to give and be selfless, as she was. But most importantly she taught of what strength, endurance and love looked like.

She gave us many memories and special moments that we will remember forever, such as
- Dancing to her Favorite Song - A Shared inside Joke
- Playing Card Games - Pontoon/boating
- Baking Cookies - Craft Fair Shopping
- Seeing her in the audience Cheering you on
- Camping Trip Scavenger hunts

She was so much more than a Wife, Mother, Grandma, Sister and Aunt. She was a dedicated worker – for over 35 years she worked as an industrial seamstress at Oberlin Filter. She was a caregiver (took care of all nine of her grandchildren – all at the same time). She was a “doctor” (she could diagnose what was wrong and know how to fix it). She was a caterer (knew how to prepare food for large events or small gatherings). She was a Party Planner (so much fun was had at her themed parties and get togethers). She was Amazing!

She is loved. She will be missed. She will live on in our hearts and memories.

She is cherished by her husband Barry, along with their children Jenni (Jamie) Horbinski, Jessica (Leon) Gustowski, Jeff (Mindy) Hink and Jerrod (Cara) Hink. Devoted Grandmother of Colton, Cooper and Caiden Horbinski, Devin and Teagan Gustowski, Olivia and Hadley Hink and Karter and Kinly Hink. Loving sister of Jerry (RoseAnn) Fohey, Terrie (Rusty) Dobbertin, Randy (Sue) Fohey, Tim (Jean) Fohey and Wayne Fohey. She is further survived by brothers-in-law Dennis (Debbie) Hink, Mick (Janet) Hink, Scott (Sandy) Hink, Randy (Julie) Hink and Darrin (Dana) Hink; sisters-in-law Barb (late Butch) Mengel, Carol (late Bob) Mengel and Bonnie (Leland) Jones, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many other relatives and friends.
