Linda M. Johnson

December 2, 1953 — January 10, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda M. Johnson, of Waukesha, announces her peaceful passing at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the age of 65. She was born in Milwaukee on December 2, 1953 the daughter of John and Barbara (nee Lovett) Dietz. Linda was an excellent cook, enjoyed baking, sewing and crafting where she made many candles and beaded jewelry. She was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers, was a Blackshirt through and through and had a great sense of humor. She loved animals, especially her boxers and her “grand-puppies” she loved to spoil. Linda was proud to a breast cancer survivor. Most of all, Linda loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. Linda attended many concerts because of her great love for music so when you hear the song “Spirit in the Sky” please think of Linda.

She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband who she met in 2000 and was married to in 2009, William of Waukesha, her loving children, Melynda Chavez, Sarah (Scott) DeFere, Shannon (Doug) Newman and Meggan Mindiola and her three treasured grandchildren, Devin and Dylan Chavez and Beau Newman. She is further survived by her best friend of 60 years, Julie Jones, wonderful mother-in-law Carol (James) Medrow, father-in-law William Johnson, sister-in-law Christyne (John) Schmelebeck, her very special nephew Steve Brandt, her siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date.
