Lois B. Geigel of Waukesha, formerly a longtime New Berlin resident, died on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Kensington Care at the age of 88. She was born in Marshfield, WI on February 4, 1930 the daughter of Verland and Marietta (nee Chamberlin) Richardson. She was a 1949 graduate of Monroe High School. On April 11, 1949 she married Clifford Geigel; he preceded her in death on April 22, 2003. Lois enjoyed sewing and was a member of the Neighbor Sewing Club. She was a longtime member of Blessed Hope United Methodist Church in West Allis where she was involved with the United Methodist Women Group. Lois was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Lois Club. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she was happiest when she was surrounded by their love.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Margaret (David) Fields of Peachtree City, GA, Anne (Mark) Geigel-Grams of Waukesha and Kathleen St. John of Greenfield, her six grandchildren, Cammi, Jennifer, Bryan, Brett, Robin and Erica and 11 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Donna Farris of Grand Rapids, MI, nieces Kimberly Logie and Susan Leslie, nephews, Timothy and Michael Flad along with other relatives and many friends. In addition to her husband, Clifford, she was preceded in death by her son Stephan Geigel and sister Winifred Flad.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Blessed Hope United Methodist Church, 3177 S. 107th Street, West Allis, WI 53227 from 9:30 a.m. until time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service. Private burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. Memorials in Lois’ name are appreciated to HAWS, 701 Northview Road, Waukesha, WI 53188.
