Lois Mae Lewis

Lois Mae Lewis a lifelong Waukesha resident died Monday, October 23, 2017 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 87. She was born in Waukesha on May 1, 1930 the daughter of Orlin and Louise (nee: Mertig) Wolfe. She was a graduate of Waukesha High School and then went on to graduate from Teachers College at Whitewater. She was employed as a bookkeeper and secretary at Palmer Fixtures in Waukesha. On December 5, 1953 she married Harold Lewis at the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ where they were longtime members and where Lois was involved in many church activities. She loved to knit and enjoyed spending time with her mother every day at her house on Frame Ave.

She will be sadly missed by her son Mark (Kristine) Lewis of Franksville, WI.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years Harold who died January 26, 2017.

A private family service will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials in Lois’s name are appreciated to the Evangelical & Reformed UCC, 413 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186.
