Loraine M. Sennott

September 20, 1912 — September 25, 2016

Loraine M. Sennott died peacefully at her home on September 25, 2016 at the grand old age of 104. Loraine was born September 20, 1912 to Robert and Louisa (Ketterhagen) Zabler in Burlington. She received early education at St. Mary Grade School, graduated from St. Mary High School, now Catholic Central, in 1931. She married Richard J. Sennott August 8, 1935 at St. Mary Church. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1990.

They always resided in Burlington and she was a life-long member of Immaculate Conception St. Mary Catholic Church. In earlier days she was active in the Christian Mothers Society, Band Boosters, Bingo, and the hot lunch program. She enjoyed her status as a home-maker. She took pleasure working in her flower beds, and all the other aspects of making a home. Family was always a priority.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, her daughter, Suzanne Muellenbach in 2004, her sister, Sister Ruthmary Zabler, S.S.N.D. of Elm Grove in 2006, and her brother, George Zabler in 1980.

Survivors include her son, Ronald (Patricia) Sennott and her son-in-law, Erwin “Bud” Muellenbach, grandchildren Jean Muellenbach, Julie (David) Schultz, Jeff (Connie) Muellenbach, and Jon (Ann) Muellenbach, Cindy (Joel) Kresken, Tyson, Alexander, and Nicholas Sennott and great-grandchildren, Brianna Muellenbach, Kyle (Lexis), Cole, Caleb and Tristin Kresken, Joshua, Reid, and Ayden Muellenbach, and Cassandra and Abigail Sennott; and great-great-granddaughter Naomi Kresken.
Sincerest thanks to Aurora Visiting Nurse Association Staff and Caregivers, especially Beth Derks, Tammy Beardsley, Sandy Popp, Christina Muschlewski, and Jutta Rupe for their loving care during the last year of Loraine’s life, and to Julie and Dave Schultz, and Bud Muellenbach who made it possible for Loraine to live out her life in her childhood home.

Visitation will be held in the chapel at Immaculate Conception St. Mary Church, 108 McHenry St. in Burlington on Wednesday, October 5th from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. The Very Rev. James Volkert will preside at the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Burlington.
