Lori J. Lauber age 57 of Waukesha and Wales, WI was called to heaven to be with her mother on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Seasons Hospice after suffering a long and debilitating illness with courageousness until it became overwhelming. Lori resided for over twenty years in Wales during her childhood and attended Kettle Moraine Grade and High School and later Alverno College. She was employed as a health care worker starting at Oak Hill Terrace then for the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Elm Grove. Later she was employed in various home assignments as needed. Lori also worked for many years as a private care worker, caring for a young quadriplegic patient in his home. She always had a smile ready for everyone and made many friends who enjoyed her great personality which will be missed by everyone.
Lori is survived by her father John Francis Lauber, her dear brothers, Ronald (Rachel) Lauber, John Frederick Lauber, Maj. Steven G. Lauber, William B. Lauber, and Gary L. (Alice) Lauber. She is further survived by her nephews, Craig Lauber and John Robert Lauber, nieces, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Emily and Megan Lauber, her aunt Helen Stolfuss, very special friends Pam and Mark Dielehner, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Lillian V. Lauber 10 years ago and her friend Norm Jackson.
Sincere appreciation is extended to the nurses and staff of Seasons Hospice for their care and comfort in Lori’s final days.
Per Lori’s wishes, a private family service will be held.
