Lorna J. Burkhalter

Lorna was born in Prairie du Chien, WI on September 20, 1943 to parents Marvin and Vera Burkhalter. She passed away on December 15, 2019 at her home in Waukesha at the age of 76. Lorna contracted polio at the age of 4 years and subsequently dealt with complications from this for the rest of her life. She was proud to serve as a poster child for Easter Seals when she was young. She was married and later divorced. Lorna loved to read and enjoyed spending time with her devoted caretaker, Linda. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Tony Burkhalter, her nieces Lynda Burkhalter, Karen Bauer and Cathy Chicola, and sisters-in-law Ellen Burkhalter and Carolyn Burkhalter.

Survivors include siblings, Marvin Burkhalter of Pineville, Louisiana, Larry (Jetta) Burkhalter of McGregor, Iowa and Celia (Jerry) Brown of Monona, Iowa, sister-in-law Linda Burkhalter of Noblesville, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
