Lorraine H. Singer (nee Gedakovitz) went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at age 88. Lorraine was born on June 30, 1929 to Helen and Bill Gedakovitz Sr. of Waukesha Wisconsin. She attended Union School and graduated from Waukesha High School in 1948. In earlier years, she worked at F.W. Woolworth and was assistant manager of the lunch counter. Lorraine was then employed for over 42 years at Moreland Plaza Pharmacy/Gray Terrace Pharmacy.
On June 23, 1951, she married Chris Singer and together they had three beautiful children, Robert of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, Carol (Michael Yanikowski) of New Berlin, Wisconsin, and Diane (David Dunaway) of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Preceding her in death are her husband Chris who passed away on Mother’s Day 1970, her brother William, Jr., and sister-in-law Dorothy. Surviving are sister-in-law Elaine Singer of Davenport, Florida, and Lynn and Tom Wren of Waukesha, Wisconsin along with other friends and relatives.
The family would like to thank Dr. James Dall, Dr. Carolyn Day, Dr. Janet Turner, and nurse practitioner Betty Kreuziger, and ProHealth Home Care. They also would like to thank ProHealth AngelsGrace Hospice for their exceptional loving care of Lorraine.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. Graveside services will follow the visitation at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Lorraine’s name to AngelsGrace Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
