Lucille “Lucy” Obodowsky, a longtime Waukesha resident died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 70. She was born in Franklin on September 24, 1941 the daughter of Raymond and Celia (nee Guzenda) Bronikowski. On August 21, 1960 she married Richard Obodowsky and became the love of his life. For over 33 years she worked alongside her husband as the owners of Jimmy’s Grotto. Lucy enjoyed traveling with her husband to their second home in Richford, WI and spending time with her daughters and grandsons. She was an avid bowler and had a great love for the outdoors and nature. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha. She will always be remembered as being a very positive, loving, caring and happy person. She will be forever missed by her loving and devoted husband of over 51 years, Richard of Waukesha and their three daughters, Vicky (Michael) Schacht of Waukesha, Tracey Miller of Eagle and Carrie (Dean Schmitz) Obodowsky of West Allis, her four grandsons, Benjamin, Aaron, Cory and Samuel, one great-grandchild on the way and her mother Celia Koch of Oak Creek. She is further survived by her sisters, Arlene (Donald) Maass of Muskego and Shirley (Raymond) Mozjewski of Milwaukee, her sisters-in-law Janice Bronikowski, Carol Bronikowski, Rosemary Bronikowski and Janice (Brian Olson) Sommerfeld along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Raymond and her brothers, Frank, Leo, Raymond “Sonny”, Robert and Jimmy. Private family services will be held.
