Manuela Corona, of Milwaukee, found peace on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the age of 73. She was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on July 12, 1947 the daughter of Francisco and Juanita (nee Sanchez) Corona. She worked for US Bank for 39 years, retiring in 2015. Manuela was a passionate caretaker, often caring for anyone who may have needed a hand. That caring spirit extended to her work with the Salvation Army, a charity she greatly valued. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Packers! Most of all, Manuela loved children. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and taking care of her grandbabies. She will be remembered for her love of family, friends, a good time and a Fiesta!
She will be sadly missed by her children Juanita “GiGi” (Felipe) Luna of Milwaukee, Joseph “Jojo” (Krisi) Corona of Milwaukee, Gina (Reed) Mayer of Mukwonago, and Bridget (Patrick) Basler of Illinois. Siblings Frank Corona Jr. and Robert Corona both of Milwaukee. She is further survived by 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, her companion Jesus Martinez of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Alicia Pecora, brother Luis Corona, and her ex-husband Joe Turney.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 10:00 until the 11:30a.m. funeral service at Bridge Church 1314 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha 53186. Interment will be private for family and follow the service at Prairie Home Cemetery. The family requests that masks be worn while visiting with them. In lieu of flowers, donations in Manuela’s name can be made out to the Salvation Army 445 Madison St. Waukesha 53188.
