Margaret “Margie” Barron a lifelong resident of Waukesha passed away peacefully at Manor Care in Pewaukee on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the age of 64. She was born on December 5, 1952 the daughter of Isabel Sr. and Maria Barron. Margie attended the Waukesha Bible School, Sunnyslope and Blair Schools. She was one of the first clients of the Waukesha Training Center and was eventually transferred to work in the sheltered workshop where she was one of their best workers.
Margie was born with Downs Syndrome. However, this did not deter her from her love for life and family. She only saw the good in everyone and always greeted everyone with a big smile and a hug. She loved traveling to visit relatives, bowling, all kinds of music and dancing and could out dance everyone. Her favorite dances were the “Chicken Dance” and the “Macarena”.
She will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters, Albert (Olivia) Barron, Mary Gonzales, Viola Lomeli, Isabel Jr. (Jane) Barron, Dolores (Norman) Ciszek and Lydia (Fermin) Rivera. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Of all the siblings, Margie was definitely the favorite “aunt”. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers-in-law Jose Gonzales and Nemesio Lomeli.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Manor Care for the compassion and care they showed Margie and the kindness and friendship they extended to us. We would also like to thank Heartland Hospice for the understanding and concern they showed us as Margie went through her final journey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the 7:00 p.m. rosary service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha.
