Margaret “Peggy” Kilpatrick (nee Breese) of the Town of Genesee died January 26, 2025 at the age of 92 at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc. Born May 8, 1932, to Charlotte and Clinton Breese. She was a graduate of Waukesha High School in 1950 and attended U.W. Madison where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. On August 23, 1952, she married Thomas S. Kilpatrick at First Congregational Church U.C.C. in Waukesha, where she was active for many years as president and member of the Pilgrim circle service club and taught Sunday School.
She was active with her husband in their company, Appraisal Associates of Waukesha, as Vice President and Secretary. She helped her children in 4-H, Brownies and enjoyed being active in the family cattle/horse farm. Peggy was a former member of Waukesha Women’s Club, Waukesha Service club and Beacon Light. She and Tom loved to travel, even invested in an RV for their multiple trips to Door County, WI. They enjoyed volunteering at Old World Wisconsin, where they spent time cross-country skiing. She dearly loved her family, music, playing the piano, sewing, quilting, reading, gardening, playing bridge, trying out new recipes and her circle of friends.
She is survived by her children David (Christi) Kilpatrick, Ann (Gene) Diesen, Jim (Gail) Kilpatrick, Abbie (Kraig) Kilpatrick. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Her many nieces and nephews. Recently she enjoyed reconnecting with a high school friend Rolland Goldammer. They shared a lot of laughs and time together in the last 3 years.
She is preceded in death by her adoring husband Tom, her parents and her loving older brothers, Robert and John (Jack) Breese. She was deeply affected by the loss of her brother Jack on March 1, 1945, while flying suppliers over the Burma Hump. His body was missing until 1948.
Private burial services will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorial service will be held at Jerusalem Presbyterian Church in Wales March 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM followed by a luncheon.
Memorials may be made to Parkinson Disease, Jerusalem Presbyterian Church in Peggy’s memory or to the wish of the donor.
