Maria Luisa Luera

Maria Luisa Luera, of Waukesha, died on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. She was born in Mexico on August 25, 1923 the daughter of Lucas Ramos and Ramona Saldana. Maria worked at Avalon Manor for 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved cooking for them. She liked giving advice and will always be remembered as a kind and special person, and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Guadalupe (Dawn) Luera, Jose (Julie) Luera, Maria Luisa (Rodolfo) Flores and Rose (Ignacio) Godina. She was the dear grandmother of, Kristi (Daniel) Calderon, Ernesto (Elizabeth) Mireles, Rodolfo (Marisol) Flores Jr., Ignacio Godina Jr., Adam Luera, Brian (Barbara) Luera, Maria Luisa (Frank Rodriguez) Flores, Vicente Godina and Raquel Godina, and great-grandmother of Felicia Mireles, Lisandra Mireles, Ernesto Mireles Jr., Braelynn Calderon, Evan Calderon, Leonardo Rodriguez, Danika Flores, Elijah Rodriguez, Dominika Flores, Julian Rodriguez and Joseph Rodriguez. She is further survived by her sister Victorina Ramos, her daughter-in-law Susan (Luera) Koch, special family friend Lilly Tovar along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Jose and her sister Theresa Ramos.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 10:30AM until 12:30PM at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Following the visitation, a procession will depart the funeral home to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha for the 1:00PM funeral Mass. Graveside services will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
