Marian Eleanor (Nee Babbs) Fulton of Waukesha, formerly of Canton, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 26th 2006. Born July 17th 1909 in Newark, Ohio. Devoted wife of the late Harold D. Fulton. Preceded in death by parents Carl R. and Maude Conaway Babbs as well as siblings Margaret and Charles Babbs. She was dearly loved by her daughter Barbara Fulton Foye (Dennis), granddaughters Carol and Anne Foye, nephew Charles F. Babbs, Jr. (Pat), grandnephew Eric and grandnieces Karen and Janice. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Marian was a highly educated, refined and accomplished woman. She held BAs from both Denison University and University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. She worked as a reference librarian at the Denison and Ohio State Universities as well as the Canton Public Library. She began a long and happy marriage to Harold D. Fulton on June 29th 1940. She was an active member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Canton and the PEO. Among many other activities, she and her husband enjoyed playing bridge and traveling the world to faraway places including Australia, Europe, New Zealand, Thailand, Japan and China. After moving to Wisconsin in 1992, Marian began a new life filled with family, friends, bridge, PEO, books, the First United Methodist Church of Waukesha and travel. Friends may join the family on Wednesday, August 30th at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha from 4 PM until 6 PM for calling hours followed by a short service. She will be interred at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newark, Ohio on September 1st. Memorials to the Women's Center of Waukesha, 505 N. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 or the First United Methodist Church of Waukesha, 121 Wisconsin Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
