Marion B. Evans, of Sun Prairie, formerly of Wales died on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Pine View Living of Sun Prairie at the age of 94. She was born on August 12, 1917 the daughter of Evan J. and Mary Belle (nee Goodwin) Roberts. During the depression she moved to Chicago and worked for Campbell’s Soup Company. In 1940 she married Harold Evans; he preceded her in death in 1989. For many years she worked as a library aide for the Waukesha and Kettle Moraine Public Schools. She was a member of Dousman #257 Order of the Eastern Star. Marion was a longtime member of Jerusalem Presbyterian Church in Wales and was a member of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church in Cottage Grove. Marion was very proud to have lived a long and full life. She will be sadly missed by her children: Sally (Rodney) Johnson of Hatfield and Thom (Kim Miller) Evans of Monona, her grandchildren: Steven (Susanne) Lodes, Angie Lodes, Jeremy Johnson, Aimee Crass, Mara Evans, Elena Evans, Jenna Evans and Connor McDermott and three great-grandchildren: Hannah Lodes, Sam Lodes and Jack Elliott. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Harold, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Hugh, her daughter-in-law Sally Gronli-Evans and her son-in-law James Lodes. The family wishes to extend a special “thank you” to Pine View Living of Sun Prairie and to St. Jude Hospice for their kind and gentle care of Marion. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 10:30AM until the 11:30AM funeral service at Jerusalem Presbyterian Church, 207 W. Main Street, Wales, WI 53183.
