Marjorie Stealey

Marjorie L. Stealey, age 92 of Waukesha, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at Avalon Square. She was born on June 18, 1915 in the Town of Delafield, the daughter of David and Mable (nee: Mills) Evans. She married Lewis L. Stealey who preceded her in death. Prior to moving to Avalon Square in 2003, Marjorie resided in Milwaukee where she was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Welsh Club of the Milwaukee area. After a long career as a Registered Nurse, she retired from St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee in 1980. Marjorie will be sadly missed by her daughter, Sue Stealey of Downers Grove, IL; brother, Hugh (Arliss) Evans of Greendale; nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Stealey; brother-in-law, R. Morris (Lavelva) Stealey; sister-in-law, H. Dorothy Stealey. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 200 Richard St., Waukesha. Bishop Kay Ward will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM service at the church. Burial will take place in Salem Cemetery, Wales. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
