Marlene D. Brunner, of the town of Waukesha, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the age of 84. She was born in Milwaukee, on June 7, 1933, the daughter of Edward and Helen (nee Bruss) Lasky. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the Christian Mothers. Marlene was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed decorating cakes with her sister. She liked knitting and crocheting baby blankets for family and neighbors, spending time with family for the holiday’s, often making her famous fudge at Christmas.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 66 years Joseph H. Brunner, whom she married on June 30, 1951, along with their children the late Joseph F. (Linda) Brunner, Kathleen (Dennis) Arquette, John (Laurie) Brunner, Janet (Del) Stubbs, Linda (Jim) Janecke and Marianne Lenhardt . Dear grandmother of Timothy (Amy) Arquette, Jeremy (Claudia) Anders, Patrick (Rae) Janecke, Jennifer Brunner, Kristine Louden, Nicholas (Barb) Anders, Melissa (Matthew) Raasch, Katherine (Michael) Volz, Aaron Brunner, Lindsey Brunner, Elizabeth (Brad) Lijewski, Cody Lenhardt and Garret Lenhardt. Beloved great-grandmother of Blade Janecke, Joseph Anders, Alexia Brunner, Damon Gardipee, Eleanor Anders, Emilia Anders, Natas Harmon, Dominic Janecke, Theresa Janecke, Veronica Janecke and baby Volz due in April, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings George Lasky, LeRoy Lasky, Dorothy Biondi, Norman Lasky and Edward Lasky; Violet Scheets and infant sister Audrey Lasky.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23 from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Funeral Mass all at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave. in Waukesha. Graveside services will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
