Martha Wichser of Waukesha was born to Eternal Life on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the age of 88. She was born in West Allis on September 1, 1930 the daughter of Samuel and Paulina (nee Palich) Macuk. On July 7, 1951, she married her beloved husband, Ralph “Babe” Wichser Jr. at Holy Assumption in West Allis; he preceded her in death on May 11, 2013. She was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Martha was kind, had a generous heart, and proudly centered her life around her family. She had a great love for children and ensured every child she met felt like they were her favorite. While her main priority was raising her family, Martha also worked in the cafeteria for Brookfield Central for many years. Martha was a tremendous seamstress, was proud of her Croatian heritage, had a fabulous sense of style, had a great sense of humor and absolutely loved ice cream. She was known for her delicious chicken dumpling soup and always made certain everyone was well fed. Martha will always be remembered for her sweet and caring nature and as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She will be sadly missed by her six children Michael (Mary) Wichser of Waukesha, Lee (Renee) Wichser of Oshkosh, Dan (Kathy) Wichser of Brookfield, Cathy (Charlie) Marks of Wautoma, Joe Wichser of Waukesha and Mark (Alyce) Wichser of Waukesha. She is the dear grandmother of Jason (Heidi) Wichser, David (Jennifer) Wichser, Lauren Wojtasiak, Nick (Amanda) Wichser, Joe (Annie) Wichser, Christine Wichser, Stuart Marks, Danny Wichser, Paulina (Paul) Wise, Andy Marks, Pete Marks, Gabe (Megan) Wichser and Theresa Wichser and proud great-grandmother of Audrey, Miles, Nicholas, Jaxon, Lazar, Mila, Leo, Wyatt, Nolan, Vincent and Ralph. She is further survived by her brother, Lazar (Deeann) Macuk, sisters, Manda Macuk and Theresa (Don) Freshwater along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Ralph, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until the 12:00 noon funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. Fr. Howard Haase will preside. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
