Martin William Burda

Martin William Burda of Waukesha, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at the age of 75. Born on May 24, 1943, in Waukesha. He was the son of the late Mildred (nee Beers) Burda and the late Nick Burda.
Marty was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Ann (nee Tessmann) and is survived by his son Jon, step-children Michael (step-grandchildren Jacob and Mikayla) Westphal and Jennifer Westphal, mother in-law Cora Tessmann, and his sister in-law Judy Kennedy.
Marty proudly served the Waukesha community as a City of Waukesha Firefighter, Local 407, for over 30 years. His pride and dedicated to his service and love for his fellow fire fighters was seen by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the gentle care provided by the nurses and doctors at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and the entire Pro Health Care of Waukesha network.
A celebration of Marty’s life will be held on February 23, 2019 from 1:00 until 4:00pm at The Thunder Bay Grille N14 W24130 Tower Place Pewaukee, WI 53072. Private burial was held at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
