Mary A. Navin a longtime Waukesha resident passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at AngelsGrace Hospice on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the age of 80. She was born in Plat, WI on May 15, 1939 the daughter of Ralph and Anna (nee Kiley) Navin. Mary was a devoted elementary school teacher and reading teacher for 44 years in the Elmbrook School District. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Waukesha where she was active in the Christian Women, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, volunteered in the church office and served as a hospital communion minister. Mary had a heart of gold, was always kind, caring and welcoming with her beautiful smile.
She will be sadly missed by her loving brothers, James (the late Janet) Navin, John Patrick (Mary) Navin, and Robert Navin, loving sister Ellen (John) Hanko, her 11 nieces and nephews, good friend Charlie Wieber, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mary wished to extend her heartfelt gratitude to her brother Bob and devoted friend Charlie Wieber for their love, kindness and care.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 from 9:30 a.m. until time of the 11:15 a.m. eulogy. The funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Father Chuck Wrobel presiding. Burial will be held Tuesday afternoon at St. Joseph Cemetery for family and close friends. Mary requested no flowers, rather please make a donation in her memory to St. Mary Catholic Church or to St. Vincent de Paul.
