Mavene J. Koentop, of Waukesha, died Saturday, January 18, 2020 at her Waukesha residence at the age of 95. She was born on June 14, 1924, in Waukesha, the daughter of Alexander and Rose (nee Marose) Gowans. She was a 1942 graduate of Waukesha High School and attended Marquette University. She was a longtime member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church.
She will be sadly missed by her son Steven (Carmen) Koentop of Waukesha, grandchildren Dr. David (fiancée Cristina Klymasz) Koentop, Jayna Koentop and Jill Koentop. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Koentop, son Robert Koentop and sister Dorothy Sinkovits.
Per Mavene’s wishes, no services will be held.
