Melvin Meeth

June 9, 1948 — August 24, 2008

Melvin “Mel” Meeth, of Genesee, died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at his home at 60 years of age.  He was born on June 9, 1948 in Waukesha to Leo and Lucille (nee:  Supanich) Meeth.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968 to 1970.  For 37 years he worked for the City of Waukesha, retiring in June 2005.  His passions were his family, the outdoors and spending time at his cabin. Mel was a member of the Genesee Wales Lions Club and the Springbrook VFW.  He was the founding father of the Sticks & Strings Bowhunters Club (1972) and the Genesee Rebels Land-o-Lakes Baseball Team (1994.) He will be sadly missed by his wife Paulette (nee:  Roeder) along with their sons: Sam (Sherra) Meeth and Scott (Lynell) Meeth, grandchildren Axel, Mason, Taylor and Alex Meeth.  He is further survived by his nieces Kathina Brincefield, Jennie, Sandra Meeth other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Raymond. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 4:00 PM until the 7:00 PM Funeral Service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI.  Burial with full military honors will be held on Friday, August 29 at 2:30 PM at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
