Brookfield-Longtime New Berlin resident Merle J. Vick age 88, died Monday, July 24, 2006 at the Woodland Health Care Center. He was born on June 12, 1918 in Waukesha to William and Myrtle (nee Staub) Vick. On May 29, 1948 he married the former Irene Rommel. Mr. Vick retired from Golden Guernsey Dairy after 29 years of service. He loved fishing, hunting, dancing and traveling. He was an avid Cubs fan. He also farmed for 35 years. He is survived by his loving wife Irene; their children: Sally (Florian) Schultz of Minocqua and Wayne (Patricia) Vick of Brookfield; grandchildren: Joseph Helminiak, Michelle (Robin) Parkinson, William (Debra) Schultz, Jolene Vick, James Vick and Keri Ann Schultz; great-grandfather of Alexandria, Brandon, Shauna, Hannah, Brook and Gabrielle. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Jean (the late Warren Vick of Eagle. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers and one son-in-law . Visitation for Merle will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2006 from 3:00-4:30 P.M. at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. A family eulogy will be held at 4:30 P.M.
