Michael S. Goodwin

Michael “Mike” S. Goodwin of Waukesha was born to Eternal Life on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the age of 65. He was born in Milwaukee on January 10, 1954 the son of Donn and Grace (nee Meister) Goodwin. On March 28, 1987 he married Dolly (nee Ploch) and together they were members of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Mike loved his job at Home Depot in Mukwonago where he enjoyed socializing with his colleagues and customers. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Mike was a huge sports fan and especially enjoyed the Packers, Marquette and because of his Irish heritage, Notre Dame.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 32 years, Dolly of Waukesha and her children, Michelle Chapman of Milwaukee and Allen (Asli) Cooper of Whitefish Bay, his mother Grace Goodwin of Mukwonago, grandchildren, Maranda and Elizabeth Chapman and Andre, Alec, Austen and Alaina Cooper. He is further survived by his brother Christopher (Gina) Goodwin, nephews, Geraldo, Jacob and Sean, niece Thea, special sister-in-law Julianna Goedheer and her sons Anthonie “T.J.” and Michael, and along with other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donn, brother John and brother-in-law Anthony “Tony” Goedheer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the 12:00 noon funeral Mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 WI-59, Waukesha, WI 53189. Father Howard Haase will preside. Private family burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin.
