Michael Dennis Griffin Jr

Michael Dennis Griffin Jr., of Eagle, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the age of 43. He was born on February 17, 1971 in England the son of Michael Dennis Sr. and Cindy (nee Wichmann) Griffin. At the time, his father was stationed at RAF Wethersfield in Essex County. As a child, Michael lived in a few places around Milwaukee, finally settling in his great-grandmother’s house on 55th street. He attended MPH, Thoreau, 21st Street School, Morse and Riverside High School, where he became a competitive swimmer. He worked part-time during his school year at Kohl’s Food Store, and then went on to Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). He worked at Bentley Systems in the Brookfield office as a senior consultant. He had many friends at Bentley, and they treated him like part of a family. He loved his job, and was able to travel to Australia, England, France, Malaysia, Philippines, Canada, Japan and many cities across the United States. He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Michael loved family get-togethers at his home, cooking on the grill, playing roulette and just being with his family. Most of all, Michael loved being a dad to his daughter Morgan. From the moment she arrived, that was his little girl. Through the years he has been a guiding influence in her life and now her guardian angel. Michael will always be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many.

He will be sadly missed by his beloved daughter Morgan of Pewaukee, his mother Cindy Griffin of St. Francis, his brothers, Jason (Sonia Talavera) Griffin of Eagle, Shawn Griffin of Eagle River and Jeremy Griffin of St. Francis and his sister Colleen (Paul Marifke) Griffin of Cudahy. He was the dear uncle to Jared, Felicity, Lauren, Averial and Isabelle and is further survived by many aunts, uncles, all his cousins, friends in the cul du sac at Fields of Eagle, co-workers and everyone else that he has touched in life. He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Visitation continues on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1205 S. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 from 10:00AM until the time of the 11:00AM funeral service. Reverend Peter A. Schmidt will preside. A private family interment will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials are a greatly appreciated to the family.
