Michael Louis Southard, age 76, passed away peacefully to join his savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, October 20, 2019 with his family by his side. Michael was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School and was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. He was a US Postal Carrier in Waukesha for 42 years. Michael was a believer in Jesus Christ and attended Fox River Christian Church where he shared Saturday Nights with the many friends he knew and loved. He loved NASCAR, Shelby Mustangs and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and father-in-law.
He will be dearly missed by his children: Dee Dee (Roger) Celmer, Debra (Michael) Moretti and Becky (Donald) Redell, his grandchildren, Britt and Clay Feight, Damian (Signe Peterson) Moretti and Daina (Ryan) Boppre and great-grandchildren Spencer Klug and Katelynn and Benjamin Boppre. He is further survived by his sisters, Joanne (Doyle) Marx, Sharon (Kenneth) Milbauch, Elaine Fitzpatrick, brother Steve Southard, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia, parents, David and Genevieve, as well as siblings, James Southard, Donna Kowalski, and David Southard Jr.
Special thanks are extended to ProHealth Care Waukesha Memorial ICU and the many nurses, aides and doctors at ProHealth Care who were so kind and compassionate to Michael and family.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 with visitation from 12:30 p.m. until the 1:30 p.m. memorial service at Fox River Christian Church, S46 W24130 Lawnsdale Road Waukesha, WI 53189. Private interment for family and close friends will be on Monday, October 28th at Prairie Home Cemetery.
