Mike Burns Grimm, a longtime Waukesha resident, died on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at his home at the age of 73. He was born in Wisconsin Rapids on November 28, 1942 the son of Glen and Rachel (nee Burns) Grimm. Mike was a 1961 graduate of Pacelli Catholic High School and a 1968 graduate of UW-Stevens Point. On March 26, 1974 he married Joyce Thorson. They were members of St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. Mike worked for many years at UPS as a driver and later in their maintenance department. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed coin collecting and loved to read just about anything but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a wealth of knowledge and everyone loved to be around him. Mike had a great sense of humor and loved making others laugh. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Joyce of Waukesha and their daughters, Rachel (Eric) Halverson of Greenfield and Janet Grimm of Madison. He is further survived by his sisters Margaret (William) Kingsbury of Lansing, MI and Mary Wilson of Waunakee along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Father Curt Frederick will preside.
