Mildred L. Best

Mildred “Millie” Louise (nee Fry) Best, of Waukesha, formerly of Eau Claire, died on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the age of 97. She was born in Fall Creek, Wisconsin on May 24, 1921, the daughter of Fred and Louise (nee Steinke) Fry. Millie was a Fall Creek High graduate and a University of Eau Claire graduate where she studied teaching. Millie worked as a shipping clerk at RTE for many years and retired in 1982.

She will be sadly missed by her children James (Cindy) Best of Pewaukee, Thomas (Wendy) Best of Waukesha, Douglas (Katherine) Best of Waukesha, and Louise Best of New Berlin. Grandchildren Erica (Nick), William, Michael, Brad, Brian, Brent, and Amy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willis LeRoy Best in 1972, and her siblings Clarence Fry, Nettie Fry, and Russell (Alice) Fry.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Randle-Dable Brisk Funeral Home (1110 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha). Inurnment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park (13235 W. Capitol Dr. Brookfield) at 12:00 Noon. Please meet at the cemetery in the green parking area.
