Mildred "May" Davis

Mildred T. “May” Davis, of Waukesha, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Oak Hill Terrace at the age of 90. She was born in Hill City, MN, Verdon Township on March 10, 1921 the daughter of George Washington and Bertha Louise (nee Lehman) Osgood. The family moved to Superior, WI in 1924 where Mildred lived until December 29, 1938 when she was united in marriage to William Jacob Warves. They lived in Tamarack, MN and Atkin, MN; he preceded her in death in 1996. In her later years, Mildred moved to Stuart, FL where she resided for 37 years. She loved to cook, sew, crochet and knit. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Bernice (Herman) Zasmeta of Waukesha and her son William (Linda) Warves of Emmett, ID, five grandchildren: Kim (Larry) Puzach, Kelly (John) Howard, Kristin (Paul) Reilly, Kurt (Kathy) Warves, and Stacy Warves, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband William Warves, she was preceded in death by her four sisters: Irene, Clara, Margaurite and Cora and her great-grandson Joshua. The family wishes to thank Oak Hill Terrace and Vitas Hospice for the compassionate care shown to Mildred over the years and especially the past two weeks. A special thank you to John Howard, director of adult ministry at RiverGlen Christian Church for his thoughtful, spiritual care in her final days.
