Milo P. Olson, of Waukesha, died on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 85. He was born in Milwaukee on December 12, 1929 the son of Hjalmer and Anna (nee Larsen) Olson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Milo retired to the serenity and quietness of Post Lake where he enjoyed his family coming to visit. He was an avid sports fan and loved his family more than anything. Milo will always be remembered for his quiet and gentle manner and as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He will be deeply missed by his sons, Jeffrey (Debra) Olson of Waukesha, James Olson of Horicon, Ken (Pam) Ahlmann of Lisle, IL and John (Rita) Ahlmann of Menomonee Falls. He was the dear grandfather of Andrea (Christopher) Rawlings, Kendal, Kyle and Konnor Ahlmann, Katie (Adam) VanOuwerkerk and Jacob Ahlmann and great-grandfather of Brock Rawlings. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara (nee Olsheske) in 1974, his second wife Muriel (nee Johnston, formerly Ahlmann) Olson in 2013, and his siblings, Harriet (Bob) Bishop, Art (Betty) Olson, Betty (Verwin) Flora and Helen (Dick) Schieble.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll Street, Waukesha, WI 53186. Reverend Karen Pahl will preside. Burial with full military honors will take place Monday, September 14th at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. Please meet at the cemetery entrance. Memorials in Milo’s name are appreciated to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
