Minnebel Dunn (nee Dobbertin) of Waukesha passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Seasons Hospice at age 99 and was reunited with her loving husband Norm. She was born on March 5, 1917 the daughter of Grover and Verna (nee Sedgwick) Dobbertin of Merton, WI. After graduating from Waukesha High School in 1935, she was employed as a secretary at the General Casting Co. in Waukesha. In April 1942, she joined Norman Dunn in Alameda, CA where they were married and spent 73 years of a very happy life together. While in Alameda she was employed at the Alameda Naval Air Station. They returned to Waukesha in 1945 and she became an employee of Waukesha County in the treasurer’s office as a deputy county clerk, retiring in 1974. She was a member of the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ in Waukesha.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Minnebel was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 73 years, Norm on June 3, 2015, her parents, a brother Merrill, a dear sister Janet Mueller and brother-in-law Bert.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 10:30 a.m. funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Reverend Ralph Schultz will preside. Private burial will follow at Lisbon Merton Cemetery.
