Moritz "Harold" Kuhne, of New Berlin, found peace on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 81. He was born on October 23, 1929, in Arizona, the son of Moritz Frank and Ethel (nee Gobel) Kuhne. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Harold was a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church and of the American Legion. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events and was an avid hunter. Harold will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his wife Janet (nee Bowman) of New Berlin, along with their children Kay Ellen (Lyle) Haddenham of Waukesha, Georganne (Brian) Prom of New Berlin, Kurt (Cheryl) Kuhne of Mukwonago and Eric (Ann) Kuhne of New Berlin. Proud grandfather of Saeed, Sami, Jessica, Sean, Jacob, Alison, Nicholas, Andrea, Rachael, Natalie and Nicholas. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Norman, as well as his parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19 from 12:00 p.m. until the 1:00 p.m. memorial Mass at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, 111 E. Main St. Waukesha, WI 53186. Interment with full military honors will take place following the service at the church.
