Nancy E. Michalak, of Waukesha, died peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2014 surrounded by her family at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 60 years. She was born in Milwaukee on March 6, 1954 the daughter of Warren and Shirley (nee Janofsky) Looysen. Nancy worked as a CNA at LindeGrove in Menomonee Falls for many years. She loved the outdoors, camping, going to waterparks, dancing, going to the State Fair and talking about old cars. Nancy was a very kind-hearted, forgiving woman who was always willing to help anyone in need. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and will always be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother.
She will be sadly missed by her children, John (Lisa) Michalak of Hartland, Tracy (Matt) Thompson of Rubicon and Amy Hingiss of Waukesha and their father Ronald Michalak of Phoenix, AZ. She was the proud grandmother of Brittany, Brenden, Gabrielle, Emily, Sydney, Jayden and Brooklyn. She is further survived by her sisters, Carol Radtke of Washburn, Betty (Rick) Cliff of Big Bend, Susan (Jeff) Groth Peplinski of Muskego, Judith (Mark) Hempel of Mukwonago, her brother Robert (Terese) Looysen of Muskego along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Donald Looysen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 11:00AM until the time of the 1:00PM funeral service in the chapel of Fox River Christian Church, S46 W24130 Lawnsdale Rd. (Corner of Hwy 164 & Hwy I), Waukesha, WI 53189. Pastor Pete Knebel will preside. Private family interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family to be donated to a charity of their choosing.
