Nancy M. “Nan” Moon (nee Schomer) of Waukesha, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born in Waukesha to Robert and Doris (nee: Vilmur) Schomer. On March 6, 1982, she married the love of her life, Dick A. Moon. Nan graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1974. She and her husband Dick owned and operated Moon’s Auto Repair for many years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, sister, aunt, and great aunt.
She will be dearly missed by her husband Dick, her brother Robert (Betty) Schomer of Oconomowoc, sisters Dee Dee (Mike) Mann of Las Vegas, Mary (Jim) Mitchell of Waukesha, and Sue (Brian) Lenard of Pewaukee. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews all of whom she adored, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Doris Schomer, sister Carol Long, brother-in-law Bill Long and stepfather Arthur Kohlhaas.
A family gathering celebrating her life will be held at a date yet to be determined. If desired, memorials to Tunnels to Towers Foundation t2t.org or HAWS 701 Northview Rd. Waukesha, WI 53188, are appreciated.
God saw her getting tired and a cure was not meant to be, so He put His arms around her and whispered “Come with Me”
