Norbert Kaebisch of Waukesha passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the age of 89. He was born in Milwaukee on June 28, 1935 the son of Alfred and Mary (Motz) Kaebisch. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. On August 17, 1963 he married his loving wife, Phyllis (Nieto) at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Genesee Depot and together they were longtime members of St. Mary Catholic Church. Norbert worked in maintenance for Waukesha County for many years. He had a passion for animals, especially dogs. Norbert enjoyed going to auctions and tractor shows but was always happiest when he was working around his farm and gardening.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis and their children, Ramona (Jack) Dabey of Waukesha, Joseph Kaebisch of Milwaukee, Christopher (Ramona) Kaebisch of Palmyra and Danielle (Raef) Kaebisch-Warzynski of Eagle. He is further survived by his sister Eleanor “Shortie” Salb, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church 225 S. Hartwell Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186 on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the funeral Mass begins at 12:00 PM (noon). Private family burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Norbert’s name are appreciated to HAWS or the St. Mary Catholic Church Food Pantry.
