On December 23rd, 2024, Norman J Kohnke passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Greenfield, WI at the age of 62. He was born on December 30th, 1961, in Waukesha, WI to Father Earl Kohnke and Mother Bernice (Hoover) Kohnke. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Jeanna (Bethke) Kohnke, son Ryan J Kohnke, daughter Amber Kohnke, son Andrew Kohnke, grandchildren Yeliana Torres, Jaden Torres, Rose Sommerfeld, Jessalyn Torres, Arianna Kohnke, Dahlia Kohnke, Averie Merriweather all of Waukesha, his brother Edward (Karen) Kohnke of Waukesha, sisters Cheri (Kohnke) Barth of Milwaukee and Sandy Zastrow of Waukesha, and many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Waukesha North High School class of 1980. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a tank mechanic at Fort Hood, he was Honorably Discharged. Upon returning from service he was trained as a carpenter, retiring from Timber Creek Resources on January 1st, 2024. Norman was an avid outdoorsman. He spent his free time hunting, fishing, gardening and taking care of his animals. He loved sharing this passion with his children and grandchildren. Always willing to take on a project whether it was his or someone who needed a hand with a work ethic that was second to none.
