Owen Michael Mccormick

Cradled in his mom’s arms, and with dad at his side, Owen Michael died January 11, 2017, after 10 precious days with us. Owen was born January 1, 2017, to Michael and Jennifer McCormick.

Owen is the beloved grandson of Charlie and Rachel McCormick, and Phyllis Dunn (Todd Center). Treasured great-grandson of Jacquelyn McCormick, Larry Bookstaff, and Delbert and Elsie Walker. Welcomed into Heaven by great-granddaddy William McCormick and great-grandma Renee Bookstaff. Owen will always be dearly loved by his extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The NICU staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital earned our eternal gratitude through their gentle, professional, and loving care for Owen and their kindness to us. We are grateful for the vast community of prayer and support poured out for us as Owen’s story spread.

Services Saturday, January 21, at Bridge Church, 1314 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, with visitation at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. Burial private.

We chose the name Owen, which means “young warrior,” even before we knew we were expecting a boy, and Owen indeed fought a valiant battle for life. We knew joy without measure in expecting his arrival and will love him without measure forever.

The Owen Michael Memorial Fund will honor Owen’s life and support other families who suffer the death of a baby in the NICU at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Contributions welcome in lieu of flowers.
