Palmer Forbes Clements, of the town of Vernon, died on Friday, October 3, 2014 at his home following a short illness at the age of 68. He was born in Fond du Lac, WI on January 28, 1946 the son of William and Belva (nee Johnson) Clements. He received his undergraduate degree from UW-Stevens Point, his Master’s degree in community counseling from UW-Oshkosh and furthered his education at UW-Whitewater. On December 26, 1971 he married Judith Polzin in New London, WI. Palmer worked as an elementary guidance counselor at Pewaukee Elementary School for many years. In his retirement, he enjoyed driving for Interfaith Caregiving Network. Palmer loved spending his last eight winters at Golden Vista RV Resort in Apache Junction, AZ. He loved to sing in choirs and was a great tenor who sang with the Vista Voices and the Ambassadors of Harmony from Brookfield Highlands and his church choir at First Congregational UCC. He proudly served his country as a VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America).
He is survived by his wife Judy Clements of the town of Vernon and their daughters, Elizabeth (Matt) Dahlen of Westby, WI and Katie Clements of the town of Vernon, and his two grandchildren Shaun and Zachary Dahlen of Westby, WI. He is further survived by his brother Bruce (Dawn) Clements of Houston, TX, his in-law Don and Dorie Polzin of New London along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 3:30PM until the time of the 5:30PM memorial service at First Congregational UCC, 100 E. Broadway Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Rev.
