He was born in the Village of Wonewoc, Wisconsin on August 6, 1932 the son of William and Alma (nee Steffen) Sussek. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War. On April 4, 1953 he married his beloved wife, Marlene Rogers; she preceded him in death on May 23, 2009. He earned his Electronics Degree from WCTC in 1964. Paul worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He was an avid outdoorsman and had a passion for hunting and fishing with his son-in-law, Ray, and grandson, Tayler, who recently passed away. Paul was a member of many organizations including, the Wisconsin Bowhunters, National Wild Turkey Federation, National Wildlife Federation, Wisconsin House Bowmen, Waukesha County Conservation Alliance, Wisconsin Wildlife Federation and the National Rifle Association. He was also a longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha. Paul enjoyed gardening and bowling, but his greatest joy was his family and he especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s school and sporting events. He could fix just about anything, whether it was a wash machine, a car or a record player, which is the last thing Paul fixed. If he couldn’t fix it, he would tinker with it until it was fixed. Paul was a huge Green Bay Packer fan and Milwaukee Brewers fan and enjoyed watching most of the games. He will always be remembered for his quick-wit and sense of humor and as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
