Peggy L. Schirmacher, of Hartford, died unexpectedly Friday, May 4, 2018 at her residence at the age of 70. She was born May 4, 1948, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Harvey and Margaret (Schnurr) Tetzlaff. She was a graduate of Brookfield Central High School. On June 14, 1969 she married Kenneth Schirmacher at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch, baking, reading, gardening, sudoku puzzles, but most of all spending time traveling with Ken and riding their Harley. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Kenneth of Hartford, along with their daughters Dawn Schirmacher of Green Bay and Kara (Patrick) Sullivan of Jackson. Beloved grandmother of Keegan and Aidan Sullivan both of Jackson. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law Barbara Tetzlaff of Mukwonago and Linda Finn of Waukesha; brother-in-law William Finn of New Berlin, nephews Jason Finn and Jason Tetzlaff; nieces Jennifer Tetzlaff, Julie Tetzlaff, Cari Tetzlaff and Risa Freund, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Thomas and Richard Tetzlaff.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 11th from 4:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Private family burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorial’s in Peggy’s name are appreciated to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, 200 S. Executive Dr. Suite 203, Brookfield, WI 53005.
