Peter A. Erke died peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the age of 67. A lifelong Waukesha resident, he was born on July 26, 1952 the son of Kenneth and Katherine (nee Carlsen) Erke. Peter worked for Wisconsin Centrifugal, now MetalTek for many years, retiring in 2015.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Meg (David Holliday) Erke of Minneapolis, MN, his son Ryan (Colette) Erke of Los Angeles, CA, his four grandchildren, Jonah and Aster Holliday and Henry and Leland Erke, sister Paula (Tom) Hannon of Surprise, AZ and brothers, Chris (Jeanne) Erke of Appleton and Ken (Melissa) Erke of Chicago. He is further survived by his partner Julie Rajnicek, his cousins, nieces, nephews, and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sharon Boone.
Throughout his life, Peter touched many other lives with his humor and dedication. He was a devoted father, a best friend, and a beloved partner. He was at his happiest swimming, riding his motorcycle, and playing on the floor with his grandkids.
A celebration of Peter’s life will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Randle-Dable- Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service.
