Philip “Phil” Quex Weinheimer, a lifelong Waukesha resident, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 91 years. He was born in Waukesha on October 16, 1921 the only child of Philip and Helen Weinheimer. He was a graduate of Waukesha High School and proudly served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945 during WWII. Phil was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers and being outdoors.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Lori (Terry Lekfield) Tapp of Muskego and his grandchildren: Patricia Magadanz, Kristina Magadanz, Nicole Magadanz, Jessica Magadanz and Mathew Tapp and one great-grandchild, Tristen Lubecke. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Weinheimer in 1992 and most recently by his companion of 14 years Doris Sheehan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 10:00AM until the 12:00 noon funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Reverend Michael Turriff will preside. Graveside services with full military honors will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
