Phillip “Phil” E. Lefebvre, of Waukesha, died unexpectedly on Monday, February 2, 2015 at his home at the age of 78. He was born in Kenosha on December 31, 1936 the son of Myron and Sybilla (nee Marek) Lefebvre. On December 27, 1958 he married Sandra “Sandy” Fox. They recently celebrated 56 years of marriage together. Phil graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Phil owned Bear Electronics for many years, taught at WCTC and was currently working at B/E Aerospace (formerly EMTEQ) a job that combined his love for airplanes and electronics. He could fix almost anything and loved to invent things, holding several patents. He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus Waukesha Council #1825 where he served as Grand Knight and District Deputy. Phil loved gardening, traveling and waterfalls. He was passionate about the Fine Arts and was a charter member of the Skylight Music Theatre. Halloween was his favorite holiday. For generations, his 6ft talking “Witchy Witch” sat on the roof and fascinated trick or treaters. He loved being with his family. He will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Sandy of Waukesha, and their children, Barbara (Mark) Wolff of Waukesha, Mark (Jacqui) Lefebvre of Glendale, Kathleen (Bruce) Everly of Bull Valley, IL and Theresa (Jason) Worrall of England. He was the dear grandfather of Kyle, Tyler and Karlye Wolff, Oliver Lefebvre, Samuel (Heather) Everly, Matthew, Jacob, Emma and Martha Everly and Eliza, Nathan and Benjamin Worrall. He is further survived by his sister, Gail (the late Jim) Walker of Arizona, his nephews, Scott (Ashley) Seidl and Paul (Elizabeth) Lefebvre along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ruth Ann (Richard) Eischeid and his brother Paul Lefebvre.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 12:00 noon until the time of the 2:00PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. A private family burial with full military honors will be held on Saturday at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Phil’s name are appreciated to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Skylight Music Theatre, 158 N. Broadway, Milwaukee, WI 53202.
