Phyllis Erke

Phyllis Loretta Erke, 101, died at her home in Bruce, WI on Sunday; August 30, 2009 due to natural causes. She was born in Fond du Lac, WI on Feb. 18, 1908; a daughter of Martin and Lavina Marcoe Tates.  She was married to Henry Erke in Chicago, IL on  Oct. 16, 1924; he preceded her in death in 1979. Phyllis was a homemaker. She moved to Bruce in 1988 and regularly attended Nathaniel Lutheran Church in Bruce.  She is survived by: 1 daughter Shirley Carlsen of Bruce, WI and 1 son Gary (Suzanne) Erke of Waukesha. 18 grandchildren   29 greatgrandchildren   17 great  great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sons: Henry, Kenneth, Robert and 6 brothers and sisters.  Funeral services for Phyllis will be held on Tue; Sept. 1, 2009 at Nathaniel Lutheran Church in Bruce, WI at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Larry Sturgis officiating. Friends may call after 10:00 until service time at the church. Nash - Jackan Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements in Bruce, WI.  On Wed; Sept. 2nd - Funeral Services will be held at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha at 12:00 Noon with visitation from 10:00 AM.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Waukesha.
