Raymond L. “Bud” Knight of Waukesha died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at LindenGrove Health Care Center at the age of 92. He was born on May 15, 1917 in Waukesha, the son of Clarence and Rose (nee Kramer) Knight. Bud graduated from Waukesha High School in 1938, then went on to graduate from Carroll College in 1942 in business accounting. He worked in insurance sales for Equitable Life for over 38 years until retirement. In his early years, Bud played in the Sunday Morning Softball League, and was later an active member in the Waukesha Jaycees and Kiwanis Club. From 1961 through 1975, he was a District Chairman and Troop Leader for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He was also a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church where served as an elder. Bud will be deeply missed by his son, Terry (Colleen) Knight of Rochester, MN; step-daughter, Laura Boltik of Milwaukee; grandchildren: Kelly Knight of Sacramento, CA, and Shannon (Brent) Brankley of Rochester, MN; great-grandchildren: Evan and Alex Brankley of Rochester, MN; niece: Judy Funk of Waukesha, and nephews Mike Sullivan of New Berlin, and Tim Sullivan of Waukesha. He is preceded in death by his 1st wife Constance “Connie” Knight (nee: Braskamp) his 2nd wife, Lorraine; step-son, Edward Boltik; and sister, Dorothy (Robert) Sullivan; and his parents. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at First Presbyterian Church, 810 N. East Ave., Waukesha.
