Richard “Dick” J. Johnson, of Waukesha, died on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 79. He was born in Stone Bank, WI on January 5, 1936 the son of Peter and Elsie (nee Petersen) Johnson. On November 3, 1962 he married Gladys Aspenes. Dick worked for many years at Jack Griffin Ford as a mechanic and then as a service technician for Century Link. His passion was cars, especially Ford Mustangs which he loved. He enjoyed racing stock cars at the Hales Corners Speedway and other local race tracks. Dick loved restoring cars and helping people with their cars. He also enjoyed racing boats on the Fox River and playing in the Oconomowoc Legion Band, but most of all he loved being with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Gladys of Waukesha and their daughter Tammy (Steve) Jenson of the town of Waukesha and his two grandchildren, Ryan and Erika Jenson. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the 4:00 p.m. funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A private burial will be held on Monday at Prairie Home Cemetery.
