Richard "Dick" T. Mason

Richard “Dick” T. Mason of Waukesha, formerly of Milwaukee passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at AngelsGrace Hospice, Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the age of 76. He was born in Milwaukee on July 27, 1942 the son of Richard V. and Virginia (nee Dailey) Mason. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. On January 27, 1962 he married his beloved wife Dorothy Carlson. Dick was employed by the City of Milwaukee Police Department for many years as a building maintenance mechanic. His greatest joy in life was his family and he will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He will be sadly and forever missed by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Dorothy of Waukesha and their two cherished children, Elliott (Lori) Mason of Walton Hills, OH and Sarah (Doug) Paczesny of Waukesha and his adored grandchildren Grace and Madeline Paczesny, Melissa Trudeau and Stephanie Folts and great-grandchildren, Rozlynn, Abby, Jordan, Derik, Aly and Carter. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law Jean Kochanski, Shirley Nagel and Carole (Leon) Burzynski along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of the ProHealth Care Cancer Clinic and ProHealth Home Care & Hospice for their care, kindness and compassion provided to Dick and their family and to AngelsGrace Hospice for making Dick’s final journey peaceful and comfortable.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until time of the 4:00 p.m. memorial service at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1415 Dopp Street, Waukesha, WI 53188. Rev. Chris Marien and Tony Acompanado will preside. Full military honors and a reception will follow the service. Interment will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha (address above) or to the UW Cancer Center at ProHealth Care, N16 W24131 Riverwood Dr., Waukesha, WI 53188.
